The
Church on the Hill ( Langside Hill Church )
at Battlefield adjacent to Queen's Park Langside Hill Church was completed for the Free Church of Scotland in 1896. It was the last Classical church to be built in Glasgow. The architect was Alexander Skirving - a former assistant to Alexander "Greek" Thomson. The church closed in 1979 and the refurbished building opened in the 1990s as a pub and restaurant. The original church's stained glass windows are still in place. |

Victoria Infirmary in Langside Road Opened on
St Valentine's Day 1890.
The hospital was named after Queen Victoria and was granted permission to display the Royal Arms above the entrance. |

This historic bridge dates from 1624. It is a Category B Masonry arch bridge and formerly known as the Cathcart Old Bridge At one time it was the only crossing of the White Cart Water carrying the main road from Glasgow to Ayr. |
