The park plateau is
surrounded by sheer cliffs some two
thousand feet high is adjacent to Canyonlands National Park. with only a narrow neck of land connecting to the main plateau. Cowboys used to fence off this neck to corral wild horses. Legend has it that a group of horses was left fenced in and died of thirst. |
